This intensive six-session series is designed to equip you with practical strategies and insights from leading experts in the field. Each session focuses on a critical aspect of fund development, ensuring a well-rounded learning experience that will help you excel in your fundraising efforts. 2. Donor Advised Funds (DAFs) as a Part of a Nonprofit's Fund Development Strategy

Donor Advised Funds (DAFs) have become one of the fastest-growing sources of charitable giving in the United States, yet many nonprofits rarely receive these grants because they aren't sure how to access them. In this session, nonprofit leaders will learn how Donor Advised Funds work so that they can develop a strategy for incorporating DAFs as a part of their diversified funding stream portfolio.

Participants will walk away with:
  • The knowledge needed to position their organizations to receive Donor Advised Funds
  • Practical tools and strategies for identifying donors who use DAFs
  • Systems that streamline processes and increase DAF donations, and
  • Strategies for increasing DAF recommended grants from sponsor organization charitable accounts

3. Donor Cultivation: Moving from Transactional Fundraising to Transformational Relationships (Virtual session)

4. Board and Executive Fundraising - Shared Responsibility, Shared Success

5. Micro-storytelling Workshop

This workshop introduces micro-storytelling as a practical tool for nonprofit professionals to communicate their work and impact ethically and with authenticity. Using two structured frameworks, participants will learn how to identify the values reflected in their daily work and translate them into short, meaningful stories about impact and community.

The session will focus on the following objectives:
  • Identify the core values behind their programs and work using the Values Wheel and companion worksheets.
  • Use the “3 ½ F’s” storytelling framework, Focus, Frame, Feel, and Reflection, to shape concise and meaningful micro-stories.
  • Explore how values spark emotion and engagement through storytelling elements such as tension, curiosity, and human connection while maintaining ethical practices that respect dignity, consent, and community voice.
  • Participants will leave with tools they can immediately use to share personal stories that highlight the purpose and impact of their work.

6. AI for Grantwriting: A Hands-On Workshop for Nonprofits

The workshop includes live demonstrations, practice exercises, and ethical considerations to ensure participants leave with actionable skills and confidence to apply AI in their funding workflows. Whether new to AI or seeking to deepen your usage, this session offers practical insights for real-world impact.
