LA County Equity in County Contracting
Wednesday, February 26th, 2025; 10am-12pm
Join us for the Los Angeles County Equity in County Contracting Event, an insightful gathering designed for nonprofits and community-based organizations. This event offers a platform to discuss critical aspects of the County's contracting processes and our ongoing commitment to fostering equity in contracting!
What to Expect:
- ECC Purpose: Explore the purpose of the Equity in County Contracting initiative with an open conversation on current and emerging challenges, as well as actionable solutions to improve the County's contracting processes
- Successes & Progress: Participate in discussions on key successes achieved so far, along with the County's strategic next steps to accomplish our shared goals.
- Challenges & Strategies: Gain insights into Los Angeles County's goals for collaboratively designing contracting practices that promote greater inclusivity and equity.
This event is a unique opportunity to engage with County leaders, share ideas, and contribute to shaping a more inclusive approach to County contracting.

Kelly LoBianco, Director - LA County Department of Economic Opportunity (DEO)
Kelly LoBianco is the inaugural Director of the newly-created Los Angeles County Department of Economic Opportunity. Most recently, she served as Chief Program Officer for a leading NYC-based nonprofit, The HOPE Program, growing workforce development and social enterprise programming in the green economy. Prior to that, Kelly served as Assistant Commissioner of Training for the NYC Department of Small Business Services and held various roles in local and state government in New York as well as the US Senate in Washington DC. She earned an MPA from Columbia University and a BA in Political Science from Northwestern University.


Cancellation policy: We require notice of cancellation at least 48 hours in advance of the class start time. No refunds will be provided for no-shows or late cancellations. LACDAC and First 5 (Region 4) grantees who register without attending will be invoiced directly for the full cost of the course. Per our contract with LACDAC, we are required to notify LACDAC of any grantees who register and do not attend; Those who miss a session cannot register to attend any future TNP sessions until payment is received. All registrants are encouraged to send an alternate if unable to attend.
