Survey Design
Collecting accurate and useful information through surveys can help you better understand the needs of your community, improve your services, and show the impact of your efforts.
Participants will learn how to:
• Plan a survey including choosing the best target group, timeframe, and approach.
• Write effective survey questions.
• Analyze the data collected and use it to guide decision-making and share successes.
Trainer: Laura Keene, Keene Insights
Laura Keene is Owner & Principal of Keene Insights where she provides strategy and evaluation support to nonprofits, foundations, and other community-based organizations. She believes that with some good planning and a dash of creativity, data can deepen impact, strengthen relationships, shift power, and even be fun. Laura has been doing this type of work for more than twenty years and across a variety of fields including public health, healthcare, social services, and education in local, national, and international settings. She has an undergraduate degree in Psychology from UC Berkeley and a Master of Public Health from Columbia University.
Cancellation policy: We require notice of cancellation at least 48 hours in advance of the event start time. No refunds will be provided for no-shows or late cancellations. All registrants are encouraged to send an alternate if unable to attend.
In Person Covid Protocols: TNP In-person workshops take place on the Long Beach City College campus. In accordance with the campus COVID policy, all attendees are required to be fully vaccinated and free of symptoms of COVID-19 or any other illness. All attendees are required to wear a mask. All attendees will be required to complete a form, upon arrival, attesting that they are in compliance with this policy
LACDAC grantees who register without attending will be invoiced directly for the full cost of the course. Per our contract with LACDAC, we are required to notify LACDAC of any grantees who register and do not attend; Those who miss a session cannot register to attend any future TNP sessions until payment is received.
